About Hakman's Golden Retrievers
Our Family's Journey
Chris and Dana Hakman are the dedicated owners of Hakman's Golden Retrievers, located in Mason, Illinois. Their journey into dog breeding began with their first Golden Retriever, Sam, and has since expanded to include several exceptional dogs. Beyond breeding, Chris is a skilled carpenter, and Dana serves as a nurse. Their shared passion for fostering has led them to provide a loving home to many children over the past 17 years.
Our Kennel
Our Golden Cottage kennel is a climate-controlled, comfortable space with a fenced backyard, grooming station, and a welcoming area for families to meet our puppies. While many of our dogs live in our home, the kennel provides a safe, home-like environment. Built to high standards, it's licensed by the Department of Agriculture to ensure top-quality care.
